Learn how to make diy natural lavender lotion bar at home with this easy recipe

Lotion bars are basically a substitute for normal lotion, these bars helps to nourish your skin deeply. Lavender lotion bars recipe is easy to make at home. For making these lotion bars you only need 3 ingredients which are all natural.

So to treat your skin & nourishing your skin deeply you don’t have to use chemical based lotions, body butters or any other chemical products. These bars are simply effective, works amazingly on skin & quite affordable.

Now lets get to the recipe

INGREDIENTS :

  1. Shea butter – 1 cup
  2. Coconut oil – 1/2 cup
  3. Beeswax – 2 tbsp
  4. Lavender essential oil – 12- 15 drops
  5. Dried lavender buds ( optional ) – 1 Tbsp.

METHOD :

  1. In a bowl add Shea butter, beeswax & coconut oil
  2. Melt beeswax, Shea butter & coconut oil using double boiler method
  3. Stir the mixture continuously while melting
  4. Turn off the flame & let it cool a bit
  5. Add lavender essential oil & mix it properly
  6. Add dried lavender buds & mix
  7. Pour the mixture in a silicon mold or you can use paper cup also
  8. Refrigerate these bars for about 2 hours
  9. Now your DIY lotion bars are ready to use.

STORAGE :

  1. In cold weather keep these lotion bars in an airtight jar at room temperature
  2. In hot weather keep these in an airtight jar & store it in the refrigerator.

HOW TO USE :

  1. Rub your body gently for about 10 seconds to make it lightly warm
  2. Now rub lotion bar on your skin, it will melt itself easily on your skin
  3. Gently massage your skin, specifically on more dry areas such as elbows.
