Avoid plastic : Avoid plastic, It takes many years to decompose it. There are many forms of plastic which are harmful both for health and environment. When you eat in a plastic utensil or packet and specially when you put hot food in a plastic utensil, bag or add hot water in a plastic bottle

It can lead to many types of cancers, liver damage, heart problems etc. . Because of the chemicals used in the process of producing plastic such as styrene & bisphenol – A etc. These are released due to hot temperature.


  1. You can use bamboo bowls, spoons and fork
  2. Paper packaging
  3. Use metal straws
  4. Take some paper cups along with you when you outside to avoid plastic
  5. Use glass containers for storing your food, grains, spices etc

So, if you want to used teflon coated cookwares then try to cook at low to medium flame, wash it using a soft sponge. If the cookware gets chipped then change it.

Even if you don’t have any small space then you can grow some veggies & fruits in pots or containers easily. Some of them are tomatoes, peppers, onion, kale, lettuce, beetroots, peas, lemon, strawberries, cherry, figs etc.

When you grow your own vegetables and fruits make sure do not use harmful pesticides & insecticides. There are many alternatives which are natural and safe such as neem leaf, salt spray, vinegar spray, rhubarb, garlic & onion spray etc.

  1. In a large bowl add white vinegar 1 cup
  2. Rock salt – 1 tbsp
  3. Baking soda – 2 tbsp
  4. Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  5. Tea tree essential oil – 10 drops
  6. Mix everything and pour the cleaner in a glass bottle
  7. Your homemade all purpose cleaner is ready

Homemade natural detergent : Make your own homemade natural detergent. This easy recipe is natural, budget friendly and safe to use and has no borax. You can keep this detergent fragrance free if you want or add your favorite essential oil.

  1. Take some hot water
  2. Add salt & baking soda in it, let these dissolve in water
  3. Add liquid castile soap and mix
  4. Add your favorite essential oil

These bombs are affordable, no plastic, natural and effective. An easy recipe to make fizzy toilet bombs at home:

  1. In a bowl add baking soda 1 cup
  2. Add citric acid 1/4 cup
  3. Mix the dry ingredients
  4. In a separate bowl take hydrogen peroxide 1 tbsp
  5. Add any essential oil ( tea tree or lemon ) 12 drops to it
  6. Now add the hydrogen peroxide solution in the dry ingredients gradually

  8. Once you reach the binding consistency

  10. Remove them after 3-4 minutes
  11. Let these dry for overnight on a butter paper
  12. Keep these in a dry, glass container.
  13. For using it, take a bomb, put it in the wet toilet & let it fizz. Then, scrub using a brush
  14. Then flush & you are done
